Current opening: licensed captain
Wakehouse Miami is currently inviting qualified licensed captains to support premium guest experiences departing from the Coconut Grove area. The role combines safe vessel operation, confident local navigation, clear guest communication, and practical support around wakesurf activities.
Applicants should hold a current USCG OUPV 6-Pack or Master license, current CPR and First Aid credentials, authorization to work in the United States, and marine liability insurance of at least $1 million. Strong Miami waterway knowledge, schedule flexibility, a safety-first mindset, and genuine hospitality are essential.
The current published range is $45 to $65 per hour based on experience, with potential bonuses and tips. Scheduling is reservation-based and may include requests with 24 to 48 hours notice. The process includes a phone conversation, an on-water evaluation, and two to three paid trial or training outings before ongoing assignments are confirmed.
